Originally from Adrian and currently a faithful and proud resident of Ypsilanti. High school special education teacher by day (Mr. Lopez), MC by night (Captain Dirty), and wedding minister by request (Reverend Dirty Lopez). Have an appreciation for the outdoors and the environment (kind of granola-ish), good music, good food, good beer, and raucous times. The beast within is hard to tame. Wolverine State Brewing Company, Monday nights. Corner Brewery on Wednesday nights.
After recently graduating from UC Berkeley with a degree in rhetoric, Adam returned to Michigan where it all began. Being a Motor City Trivia MC is the perfect stepping stone that he needs to someday assume his dream job as Alex Trebek’s replacement on Jeopardy. Game shows are somewhat familiar for Adam. He won a hot tub and luggage as a contestant on the Price is Right and some cash on the game show Lingo, however his true affinity is for trivia and games that require some skill and knowledge. When not hosting shows, and after trivia is over for the night, you can usually find Adam at any given karaoke spot belting out all the catchiest tunes of yesterday and today. You can find Adam at Buffalo Wild Wings Lake Orion.

Driving his old yuppie car packed full of vintage drums, Jet’s Pizza boxes and golf clubs, he realizes that he’s late for band practice. As usual, he couldn’t pull himself away from watching the Tigers game. After practice he changes into his Sauconys and heads over to Trivs. Tonight’s playlist reminds him that he needs to get tickets to the upcoming concert. After a stellar Bidet performance, he retires home to snuggle with his kittens and laugh himself to sleep via Conan.

By day he is the Director of Operations at Epic Motion, a digital fim studio in Royal Oak, by night he is the husband of one and dad of two, and by late night he is the best trivia host Chapman’s Mill in Rochester has ever seen. Sarah is quite the movie buff! Most weekends you can find her at the local movie theater. Her friends jokingly refer to her as the human IMDB because of her wealth of movie and celebrity knowledge. If she’s not at a movie, she’s probably rocking out a concert somewhere. She’s seen her favorite, Jimmy Eat World, eight times! Most of all, Sarah enjoys the company of close friends and meeting new people.
You can find Sarah at Bailey’s in Dearborn, Buffalo Wild Wings Ann Arbor and Lions, Tigers and Beers in Wyandotte.
Originally from Chicago, Sarah moved to Ann Arbor to have a better view for watching Michigan football. Conveniently, there happens to be a school in Ann Arbor which Sarah tried to make time for in the off-season. Having conned the University of Michigan into thinking she earned some college degrees, Sarah now works at the University Musical Society by day and student loan companies by night. When she’s not doing trivia, Sarah can be found reading, watching reruns, or researching just exactly how it is that one can “bring sexy back”….where did it go originally? And why??
You can find Sarah at The Arena in Ann Arbor.
Shelby C.
Shelby’s turned a love of random academic trivia into a career: education… and now trivia! She’s lived in a variety of (warmer) places but uses video games, hiking, and craft beer to fight the Michigan chill (video games might not help that). Being named after a car (seriously), she’s made herself right at home in the Motor City.
Catch her making ridiculous facial expressions and even more ridiculous puns at The Whiskey Bar in Dearborn Heights on Mondays.
“Wild Bill” was born in Detroit Rock City and supports anything “Made in Michigan.” His musical tastes range everywhere from Aaliyah to ZZ Top, but he prefers to highlight “Home Grown” music with ties to the Motor City. This includes perennial favorites like The Temptations and Ted Nugent, but you might also hear songs from today’s up-and-coming local artists like Killer Flamingos or Serious Jester. If you’re in a band and you’re looking for more exposure, you should definitely talk to Bill. One day he hopes to win an Oscar and/or the Jeopardy Tournament of Champions. Go Blue!!!
Bill can be found at TGI Friday’s in Southfield, Utica and Dearborn, Ashley’s Westland on Saturdays and Bostons Wednesdays!
